The head of the ministry announced his decision in an article published by “Wall Street Journal”. He explained his move by the fact that the current team was constantly conflicting interest, and the committee “stopped” all vaccines. Therefore, he argued – it is necessary to reorganize it to rebuild public trust in vaccination.

“Public opinion must know that recommendations from our health agencies are based on impartial education. This will ensure that the Americans will receive the safest vaccines as possible” – wrote in “WSJ” a minister, who for years expressed skepticism towards vaccinations.

The CDC employee, asking for anonymity, commenting on the words of the minister, assessed in NBC News that “the claim that they are doing this to restore faith in CDC is a special form of gaslighting.”

Sean O'Leary, an expert on infectious diseases from the American Pediatrics Academy, assessed that the minister's statement “is very offensive to many scientists who devote countless hours to this process,” the station said.

The Advisory Committee for Vaccination (ACIP) issues recommendations for CDC regarding who should receive the vaccine data, including recommends a children's vaccination calendar. The CDC director then analyzes recommendations and makes a decision on their implementation. He usually accepts the recommendation of experts.
