Former PNL president Valeriu Stoica told Digi24 that he is “probably” for PSD to accept Ilie Bolojan as prime minister, but the Social Democrats will request important functions. On the other hand, Stoica estimated that a possible opposition to the Social Democrats risks bringing the PSD as a “minor party”.
“Probably they will eventually accept being Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, but the price they will ask for this concession will be very high, in the sense that they will want to have very important positions in the economic area, and in the area, to say, to build the state,” said Valeriu Stoica.
The Liberal believes that the other variant that social democrats have, namely the entry into the opposition, brings very high risks for the PSD.
What are PSD strengths
“If the PSD enters the opposition, it signs not the death certificate, but the minor party certificate. In this situation, in this situation, the PSD will be phagocytic by the gold or by the gold spirit, that is, it will be merged if not with the Gold Party, with the way of making this party. Be favorable PSD, “said Stoica.
For this reason, Valeriu Stoica believes that the PSD leaders invoke the entry into the opposition only as an asset in the negotiation process for setting up the future government.
“Nicușor Dan is not in a position to give up or resist, because the negotiation is done between the parties. It is true that this negotiation is now under the president's umbrella. It is the first time it is visible under the president's umbrella.
He stated that the “patronage of the president” gives greater PSD power, in addition to the number of parliamentarians after the parliamentary elections of 2024.
“What does not want to understand the PSD – or it is not understood – is that between this parliamentary share resulting last year and the reality of the electoral support from this moment is no longer a concordance. PSD should think not only about the number of parliamentarians, should think about the expectations of the electorate, which will be in this Government. The electorate, not the own expectations inside the party, ”Stoica said.
The deadline set by Nicușor Dan
President Nicuşor Dan estimated at ten days the time period for the designation of a prime minister and the installation of a new government at the Victoria Palace. He also said that new consultations with party leaders take place on Monday and said that he believes that PSD will enter the government.
Nicușor Dan estimated in how many days the new government will be announced. Tomorrow, “a sketch will be presented on how things will continue” / What does the PSD enter the government will go

The president replied with an estimate: “In ten days, so.”
