In Krasnoyarsk, the pensioner received 2.6 million rubles back, which fraudsters stole him. Their courier will appear before court.
The prosecutor’s office said that a 24-year-old resident of Moscow in 2024 became a courier in an organized community, helping telephone fraudsters take money from people. The attackers sentenced themselves to civil servants and deceived people, convincing them to part with money to protect property.
One of the victims-the 68-year-old Krasnoyarsk-believed the “bailiffs”. He was convinced to sell the apartment, and then transfer to the courier the proceeds from the transaction of 2.6 million rubles.
The Muscovite had to leave 60 thousand rubles to himself. The man was given money for a ticket from the capital to Krasnoyarsk. Before picking up a box with money, he had to tell the pensioner the password: “Geese-Swans”.
“Fortunately, this case quickly fell into the sphere of attention of law enforcement agencies. The accused lit up on the recordings of video cameras at the airport and was soon detained in Lyubertsy near Moscow, ”the prosecutor’s office said.
The man approved the charges of fraud (part 4 of article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
“They told me that everything is legal if it were drugs, I would refuse,” he explained.
The money has already returned to the legal owner. His relatives helped to repay the damage caused to the young man. Now the court awaits him. The criminal case will be considered by the Soviet District Court of Krasnoyarsk.
