Superliga team changes the stadium: the club's management announcement

Union Slobozia saved dramatically from relegation and left a year in Superliga, at the very first season since the promotion managed. The Ialomițenii have played so far the matches on their own field in Clinceni, where the future season will begin. In the autumn, however, it was willing to move home, at the stadium in Slobozia.
The announcement was made by Ilie Lemnaru, the president of the Union Slobozia, who provided the last details regarding the stage of the works at “Stadium 1 Mai”. The lawn that will be mounted is a hybrid one and if everything works according to the plan, the team is expected to move in front of their fans at the end of September, at the beginning of October.

The modernization works at the Slobozia stadium have a delay of at least 9 months.
“At the stadium the work has started. At this moment it works. It takes about a month of covers, the heating system. Then it will be the tartan track, and in the last part, after two months, the lawn seed. It will be a hybrid one.
It then depends on temperatures. If they are lifted it will catch harder, but I think at the end of September or the beginning of October we will play there. It is important that it has started and work, “said Ilie Lemnaru quoted by Digisport.ro.

At the first year in Superliga, Unirea Slobozia had emotions until the end, reaching the maintenance / promotion dam with those from FC Voluntari. After 2-1 in the tour for Ilfoveni, the Ialomițenii managed to equalize the general situation for return and to impose dramatically, after the breaks.
Immediately after saving from relegation, Adrian Mihalcea left the team, signing with UTA Arad. His place was taken by Andrei Prepeliță, the one who will train the team in the future season.
