In a statement, the Orthodox Church said that the Pride march is “a provocative and totally inappropriate act especially in the current context marked by secularist ideologies and social tensions”.
The organizers replied: “We do not organize marches to cause or injure someone. We are in the street because we are families too. Because we want all children to grow in a world where they are seen, accepted and loved,” I accept in a statement.
“The care for close should not be conditioned. And love, in the spirit of the gospel, does not exclude,” says the organizers.
I accept criticize the lack of reaction of the church in the face of violence
The Accept Association draws attention to the attention that the public messages of the Romanian Orthodox Church on combating violence against women, children or other vulnerable people are “rare or absent”, while the “division messages” addressed to the LGBTI+ community would have been a constant concern of the institution.
