Georgian Honciu, 36 years old, the field leader of Metaloglobus, told the Sports Gazette that he and many other colleagues conclude their contracts with the newly promoted team and it is not known who will continue. – It was, it is, something unique to me too. And at this age I promote with such a young team … I do not know who would have bet on Metaloglobus to promote in the first division. I really do not find the right words, even now, when two days have passed since “miracle”.

– You, from the inside, who do you think was the key to success?
– A very good group, united. Due to many shortcomings, if we compare with top teams what they want to promote, we have joined. The hardships joined us. That says a lot about the character of the players, the group.
– What will happen next for you, for Metaloglobus?
– For now, we know nothing, what was happening. Many are free of contract, in fact the majority. We really don't know where we will play in the next edition. I, being the team captain, are called by everyone. “Well, I really don't know!” I answer them, because I don't know about others. It remained that tomorrow, next week, these days, to discuss who will continue, how, under what conditions. That with the players with whom the management wants to go further.

This season I missed only six matches, if I'm not mistaken, because of an injury. I have a status at this band, I would really like to go further in the first division with Metaloglobus.

– We don't have it. We can play anywhere, and in front of the block! (laughs) Only our families in matches support us. For two and a half years since I was at Metaloglobus we have completely moved to Clinceni. And with training, and with matches. We have no supporters and fans. And if we had, it's hard to come from Pantelimon to Clinceni. The distance is not great, but with traffic … well that our families are with us.
