The decision comes with the recapture of four parking lots – including those near the casino and in the north of the Mamaia resort – from zone 2 in zone 0, which involves higher rates and eliminating the evening or weekend days. The tax measure in area 0 will be applied between June 1 – August 31, 2025.

“The tariff is 4 lei per hour or 30 lei per day. There are also weekly or monthly subscriptions”, said Mădălina Șuteu, representative of CONTANTA URBAN CONFORT, for PRO TV news.

Thus, for a week of holiday, tourists who choose to leave their car in this area will pay 30 lei per day, that is 210 lei in total, or they can opt for a subscription of 100 lei.

In contrast, in areas 1 and 2, parking remains free after 8:00 pm and at the weekend, as before.

Employees in Romania will enjoy an extended weekend, as the Pentecost holiday brings a three -day mini -vacation, during Saturday, June 7, Monday, June 9, according to the Calendar of Legal Days.
