Mercator wants to withdraw PLN 1.61 dividends for shares for '24 or allocate up to PLN 15 million on Buy Back

Mercator Medical recommends the General Meeting a choice between the allocation of PLN 15 million for a dividend for 2024, which gives PLN 1.61 per share, or a purchase of own shares up to PLN 15 million – the company said in a statement.

If the dividend selection, the proposed dividend day is July 28, and the day of its payment is August 11, 2025.

“The current financial situation of the company and its capital group speaks for the above recommendation, allowing for payment in the presented amount without prejudice to the activities and the financial situation, as well as factors responsible for demonstrating profit. An important part of net profit in the amount of nearly 23 million are positive exchange rate differences, of which they are in the vast majority – written in a message.

“There is also a prevailing uncertainty in the markets in connection with the tensions in global trade policy and announcements of the introduction of additional duties by the United States for products from Asia, including Thailand, a key region of production of the Mercator Medical Capital Group” – added.

In addition, it was indicated that in this situation the company is not able to predict how the behavior of American recipients will change in the scope of purchasing structure, including in particular in the perspective of virtually possible elimination of Chinese suppliers. It has been added that this fact may also be redirected to Chinese production to other markets on which the Mercator Medical Group is present, causing more competition there. (PAP Biznes)
