Russians warned of fraudulent newsletters with the proposal of “earnings on likes”

Fraudsters send voice messages to the Russians allegedly on behalf of employees of large marketplaces with the proposal to “make money”. This was announced by State Duma deputy Anton Nemkin.

At first, scammers even give the victims small tasks and pay for their implementation in order to cause confidence in a person. So scammers create the illusion of easy earnings and “exclusive possibilities”.

“When the user has already invested his time and received the first money, he forms the motivation to continue. At this stage, it is easier to convince him to make his own funds allegedly to receive even more income, ”Anton Nemkina quoted the publication Vos loud.

The deputy noted that the installation of unknown applications can lead to the device to get malicious software. It is able to steal personal data, gain access to banking applications or use a device in a botnet net.

“To protect themselves, it is important for users to remember: legal platforms do not offer earnings through messengers and do not ask to download third -party applications. Any proposal that seems too profitable is already a reason to be wary. Check the information, do not go on suspicious links and do not enter the data in unfamiliar services, ”the parliamentarian noted.
