ANPC temporarily closed two large shops in the capital / fines of over 250,000 lei

The commissioners of the National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC) applied, on Friday, fines totaling 250,500 lei following checks carried out at seven economic operators in the Capital. At the same time, the temporary stop of the activity at a Kaufland store in Sector 2 and a Profi store in Sector 4, according to an ANPC press release, quoted by Agerpres, was willing.

In total, the commissioners ordered the definitive withdrawal from the marketing of 166 products and 64.2 kilograms of freight, worth 2,152 lei, and the temporary stopping for another 1.2 kilograms of products, worth 72 lei.

Among the verified units are several Profi stores in Sector 3, where fines were applied between 10,000 and 53,000 lei.

In sector 4, at Profi from the road. Berceni were applied sanctions of 25,500 lei, and at Kaufland from Șos. Pantelimon, sector 2, the fines reached 53,000 lei.

“At the same time, the temporary stopping measure of providing services for: Kaufland, Șos. Pantelimon, no. 244 – 246, sector 2, and Profi, Șos. Berceni no. 183 B, sector 4”, said the ANPC representatives.

Also, the controls targeted two Carrefour Market stores in Sector 6, where 20,000 and 2,000 lei, 11,000 and 2,500 lei were applied. In Sector 5, at Mega Image on the 13th September street and at Shop & GO nearby, sanctions were applied, and at Mega Image Amzei Square and at the store in Di Mendeleev street, sector 1, the fines amounted to 21,000 lei.

In total, at Lidl in Șos. Pantelimon, sector 2, were given two fines worth 20,000 lei, and at Carrefour Șos. Vergului, sector 2, the fine was 5,000 lei.

“Seven economic operators were checked, in 17 working points, being drawn up 13 minutes of finding the contravention, three invitations and a report of finding. Contraventional sanctions amounting to 250,500 lei and two warnings were applied,” said ANPC.
