Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski said that although his relationship with Donald Trump has been tense, he believes that Vladimir Putin manages to irritate the White House more than he does.

“I can say unpleasant things, but I tell the truth. I say what I think. And he [Putin] It can sometimes say very cute things, but they are lies. And I believe that for intelligent people, those who lie are more worrying ”the Ukrainian president told a group of journalists on Tuesday in Kiev, according to Politico.
“In a partnership, you can be very uncomfortable, but still partners to stay. I think the problem with Putin is that if you have the impression that you are wearing a dialog, you are actually alone.”Zelenski added.
He also said that President Trump and his administration – who seek a quick cessation of hostilities – have now understood that Putin does not want to end the invasion in Ukraine in terms of the White House.

Zelenski, who had a tense meeting with Trump in the Oval Office at the end of February, still wants the US to impose new sanctions to Russia, saying that only increased pressure can force Moscow to take into account peace, according to statements made in front of journalists.
The Ukrainian president also warned that Russian forces are preparing a new major offensive and that they have concentrated over 50,000 soldiers on the border with the Sumî region in northeastern Ukraine, where they plan to create a 10-kilometer buffer area.
