After the departure of Marius Șumudică from Rapid, Dan Șucu is looking to name the new coach of Giulești. Recently, it has been speculated that the majority shareholder of the club wants an Italian coach, and Rolando Maran (61 years old) seems to be the first variant.

Marius Măldărășanu refused to take over quickly and extended his understanding with Hermannstadt, and Daniel Pancu will make a decision on his future after the European Championship U23. Thus, Șucu seems to be interested in Italian coaches, and Maran, a former coach at Genoa, a club that is now held by the Romanian businessman, seems to be one of the targets.

It remains to be seen what decision Dan Șucu will make regarding the Technical Bank from Rapid. A solid variant remains Daniel Pancu, former footballer and coach of Giulesti.

“Pancone” will make a decision only after the European U23 championship, where he will participate with the Romanian team.

The final tournament will take place between 11 and 28 June. Romania was placed in Group A, together with the hosts Slovakia, Spain and Italy, two of the favorites to win the tournament.
