On Monday, the Onet portal wrote that Nawrocki “participated in the process of bringing prostitutes for guests of the Grand Hotel in Sopot when he worked there as a bodyguard.” “This is what his colleagues from the protection that Onet talked to, say,” it was emphasized. “Due to their concerns about their own safety, our interlocutors want to remain anonymous. But they take responsibility for their words – they declare that they are ready to testify to the court,” it was indicated in the article. The President's candidate supported by PiS announced that he would sue Onet in a civil procedure for the protection of personal rights and will submit a private indictment in criminal procedure for “a steak of lies and hatred.”

The European analytical collective report shows that 52 percent Internet users undermine the credibility of the allegations presented in the Onet article. Users point to His many years of verification by the state services and the lack of previous penalty charges. In their opinion, “the publication was a political activity to weaken the right -wing candidate just before the second round of presidential elections.” Comments appear about “German influence” in the media and allegations of an attempt to manipulate public opinion. The statements calling for the mobilization of Nawrocki electorate are also visible.

In turn, 41 percent comments concerning the legitimacy of the allegations against Nawrocki and reports of basement and connections with the criminal world. Internet users undermine his credibility as a presidential candidate and suggest that Nawrocki's past should automatically
exclude him from public life. Comments are accusing and are
characterized by profanity and irony. Users accuse the candidate supported by PiS legal passivity, interpreting the lack of a claim in electoral procedure as confession.

7 percent users are distancing and maintaining a neutral position. They pay attention to the low level of public debate, language brutalization and the transfer of discussions from the substantive to personal level. Comments suggest that socially important matters are used for ad hoc political struggle, which negatively affects the quality of democracy.

In the published content, emotions such as anger (38 percent), contempt (24 %), anxiety (15 %), as well as disappointment and fatigue (10 percent) could be seen. Pride and mobilization appeared in 13 percent. cases.

The most repetitive phrases and markings dominate: “#nawrocki2025”, “#yelennyltrzaskowski”, “#cooks, as well as the terms such as” basement “,” political attack “,” German media “,” Murański “,” Onet's conspiracy “.

Onet's publication sparked – according to the analysis – the strongest mobilization effect among the passive or undecided supporters of Karol Nawrocki, who in response to the perceived “media attack” declared participation in the vote. The authors of the report emphasize that the increase in declaration of participation in elections in this group is reactive consolidation – it is not based on the program, but on the need for solidarity with the attacked candidate.

The head of Res Futura Michał Fedorowicz pointed out that in the era of social media such a reaction is expected, but it does not prejudge the results of the election. “This is only the mobilization of electorates,” he said.

However, in the case of opponents of Nawrocki, Onet's publication strengthened and confirmed their negative assessment. Res Futura has noticed that some people express frustration, that such information appears only now, which weakens their faith in the effectiveness of the system.

The second round of presidential elections will take place on June 1.
