During the press conference, Deputy Prime Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz announced that the Control Inspectorate has three days to present the results of the analysis. – The Ministry's Legal Department also thoroughly examines this matter. I always emphasize that the contracts should be fulfilled, and all actions must be in line with Polish law – said the head of the Ministry of National Defense, quoted by TVN24.
The minister emphasized that if any irregularities are demonstrated during the inspection, the responsible persons will suffer the consequences. – I will meet the results right after returning from Washington. I am on the side of Polish entrepreneurs, but always based on law and reliability – he added.
The entrepreneur accuses the army of failure to comply with the contract
As reported by “Gazeta Wyborcza”, Dariusz Górczyński, the owner of the industrial laundry in Słupca, in 2024 he won a tender for the provision of laundry services for the 33rd transport base in Powidz. According to the contract, the company was to serve about 7 tons of military clothing a day, which gave about 150 tons a month. The contract value was estimated at over PLN 12 million.
To meet the requirements of the contract, Górczyński took out a loan for the extension of the laundry, employed new employees and prepared infrastructure at the military base. Despite the readiness to perform the contract, the actual deliveries of clothing were much smaller than the declared. – Instead of a few tons a day, we received only about 500 kg – says the entrepreneur.
“I stayed with nothing”
According to Górczyński, the contract provided for a payment of 50 percent. Contract value if the army does not provide a declared amount of clothing. – I haven't received any compensation so far. I stayed with nothing. Today I am on the verge of bankruptcy – he said in an interview with Gazeta Wyborcza.
The entrepreneur counted on the payment of compensation in accordance with the contract provisions and oral assurances of the command. However, the army has not yet fulfilled these obligations.
