An international race was diverted to Seattle after a passenger tried to open the aircraft doors during the flight, according to the police, reports NBC News, taken by News.ro.

All Nippon Airways flight was traveling on Saturday from Haneda Airport in Tokyo to George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, when a passenger became “indisciplined”, according to the airline, which did not provide details. The flight was diverted to Seattle and landed at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport around 4:19 AM, the police said.

The Federal Aviation Administration said the flight was diverted “because of an incident with a passenger”, but did not provide additional details. The flight had almost 10 hours of travel when he landed in Seattle, according to flightware.com.

“The police were called because of notifications about a passenger who tried to open the exit doors during the flight,” the police said. “The report said that the passengers and the flight crew immobilized the individual.”
