WSE has its five minutes and you have to use it. “We don't want domestic investors to sleep this bull market”

– Long -term investors, OFE and PPK clients should be congratulated. If the state did not look out of these programs, did not make a declaration, then please see your bills at PPK and OFE. There are solid, very solid increases – says Bankier.pl Michał Kobza from the management board of the WSE.

In recent days, he wrote about the Polish economy and stock exchange, among others “The Economist” and “Financial Times”. Is this the result of the WSE lobbying? – Rather, this is the result of long -term work of the entire market. We are very happy that the reputable economic press, which looks globally at all kinds of trends and investment capabilities, notes Poland – says in the studio Bankier.pl Michał Kobza, member of the Management Board for the Development and Sale of the Warsaw Stock Exchange, with which we talk during the WallStreet 29 conference.

– Of course, we have already seen some signals when it comes to interest in our market. Due to the growth of indexes over the past one and a half years, the Polish market had to be shown on the global radars of investors. We have noticed the influx of funds from investment funds a little earlier, which began to prevail our market, and now foreign journalists became interested in us – says Michał Kobza.

– We need to use our five minutes and we approach it as a stock exchange – he emphasizes.

– This year we are doing a lot when it comes to communication, the Polish market, the stock exchange, and listed companies. We were already in London and New York this year. We are increasing the possibilities of communication with global investors, although we do not want the domestic market to sleep this bull market – says a member of the management board of the WSE.

– We have the strongest bull market for really a dozen or so pretty years and we want to direct our education and communication to the domestic market so that Polish investors join and are part of this growth. Of course, from this place, long -term investors should be congratulated, i.e. all of us, OFE and PPK clients. If the state did not look out of these programs, did not make a declaration, then please see your bills at PPK and OFE. There are solid, very solid increases – indicates Michał Kobza.

He emphasizes that the WSE is constantly focusing on education. – Economic education is something that we do constantly and will do on an even larger scale. Last year, together with the GPW Foundation, we trained over 100,000 young people, in particular high school students and students – says Michał Kobza.

Communication with the widest possible group of potential investors is equally important. – Communication with a wide market in Mass Media is what was missing. We want to communicate to the public, what is the stock exchange for and why when it is good on it, everyone should enjoy even the fact that their retirement savings are growing – he adds.

The third issue is new products that are to attract investors. – Of course, we focus mainly on long -term investments that will bind investors with us, although we will have products for everyone – long -term, short -term, leveled, unexpected – says Michał Kobza.

– In particular, it is about ETF funds. We will have very interesting debuts in the coming months, such as ETF based on a dividend company index, which pays solid dividends. There will also be something for younger investors who prefer greater risk. I mean ETF based on Bitcoin. There are plans for such an instrument to appear in the WSE offer this year – explains Michał Kobza.

It is possible that you will not have to wait long for the debut of this bitcoin ETF. – We are already preparing for this stage, which will take place after the prospectus approval by the Office of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority. From what we know, this process runs smoothly and I would say that Even days, not weeks, divide us from good news – specified our guest.

Will we see REITs on the WSE this year, i.e. funds that allow investors to earn on the real estate market? – This is a good question. This year we will definitely observe the legislative process. Everything indicates that we will see the law enabling the creation of REITs-says Michał Kobza. He adds that the stock exchange already has companies willing to emit such papers, but first the relevant regulations must be created. – For our part, as a stock exchange we make every effort, we take part in all consultations – assures a member of the management board of the WSE.
