Russian missiles hit the port of Odessa on Friday. “Unfortunately, one person was killed – a port employee. Family and friends of the deceased, we submit the most sincere condolences. Eight people were injured, including civilian employees. Four of them are in a serious state. All people are treated” – wrote Oleksy Kułyba
The Ukrainian deputy prime minister explained that the missiles damaged the engine room, struck windows and doors in administrative buildings, destroyed vehicles and equipment. “There was not a single military facility there, only civil infrastructure,” the politician added.

Oleksij Kułyba reminded that during the war Russia damaged and destroyed almost 400 port infrastructure facilities, including over 30 ships. 106 civilians were injured.
“We need to strengthen the protection of our port infrastructure. We must continue to work on ensuring freedom and safety of sailing. Weapons and diplomacy are our tools on the road to peace and justice” – emphasized the deputy prime minister.
