In the tail of the play-off, far from the European claims, despite the major investments of over 20-25 million euros pumped in the club since Dan Șucu's arrival.

Cristian Săpunaru commands bringing beer to the cantonment

Sources close to the club revealed that, in all this period, except for the mandate of Adrian Mutu, at Rapid, some of the players always consumed alcoholic beverages, especially beer, view, training or cantonments. A situation that the coaches knew but, somehow tacitly, accepted it.

About the subject, the fact that the magazine Adrian Tarchilă (59 years old) was the one who brought a drink in the cantonment, wrote Digisport. However, GSP sources claim that the initiator of these things was, surprisingly, the old captain, Cristian Săpunaru, who played the withdrawal match last weekend.

He has no driver's notebook, so he had transformed Târchilă into his personal driver and good man, including bringing beer, acidified juices or pizza to training or cantonments. And they were all purchased through the special card from the club.

Following an internal investigation, which has not yet completed, the employers found out that it was 30-40 beers at each workout. And that for these services, the magazine was rewarded with a bonus of 1,000 euros a month by Săpunaru.

Initially it was decided that Adrian Tarcilă, one of the oldest club employees to be kicked out. Later, finding out that he has a contract only until the end of this month, he stayed, but he will leave Rapid. Especially since he had a problem, there was information that he had been involved in the introduction of pyrotechnic materials in the stadium, before the matches.

There are also many players who do not drink

The leadership of the Rapid had for a long time the indices that were happening, but recently, images of beer bottles began to appear in the cantonment or after matches. In order to stop the players to drink, it was reached to give up the usual glass of red wine, “official”, from the dinner before the parties.

One of the foreigners would have confessed to a colleague that at first he was totally surprised to see bottles of cola, beer and pizza after training, believing it was someone's anniversary. But the “anniversaries” were held.

But Săpunaru's initiatives were not tasted by all colleagues. The young people, such as Rareș Pop and Vulturar, but also Grameni, Alex Dobre, Christensen or Gojkovic, did not enter this “game”. And they are not the only ones. But others gave way to temptation.

A habit that, at Rapid, support the same sources, was instituted from the time when Drăghia and Junior Morais were still on the team.

Sunday have a meeting with Șucu

On Wednesday, Dan Șucu was on the team, being the first day when the training was led by interim Octavian Chihaia, the one who would take over the next season the Youth band. Because Dan Șucu is not at all convinced that he wants to be represented in the relationship with the players who has propagated these things inside the club.

There is also the variant to be brought to Rapid another sports director, probably a foreigner, and Săpunaru to remain only a help. But it is hard to believe that the stop will accept such a compromise. It all depends now on the decision Dan Șucu will communicate to the players and the club on Sunday.
