Since the year in which it was built, that is, 1936, the villa in Baneasa, in which he created and lived until the last day Nae Ionescu, professor of metaphysics and ideologist of the fascist organization Iron Guard, was wrapped in mystery.

At the basement of the building, a door eaten for time opens to a tunnel connecting the residence of Marshal Antonescu to Baneasa Airport.

Designed by the brilliant architect GM Cantacuzino, the building with Byzantine and Mediterranean details would have been a gift offered by industrialist Nicolae Malaxa to Nae Ionescu, a Christian apologet courted by politicians, with political adult of King Carol II.

After 1940, the villa in bd. Ion Ionescu from Brad was requisitioned by Marshal Ion Antonescu and transformed into a building-objective of strategic importance during World War II.

Currently, the building is the headquarters of the Research and Development Station for Baneasa Pomiculture.
