Citizen sensitization, urban furniture and sanctions: the municipality of Paris launches a fight against the Chisatocers so that the cleaning agents no longer have to gather 4-5 million christians every day, AFP informs, taken by Agerpres.

“60% of the cigarettes smoked in the public space arrive on foot,” the municipality recalls on a statement announcing its anti-chisoys plan.

The municipality highlights a double economic challenge, with “a cost for community estimated at 10 million euros per year”, but also environmental as “a single Chisoc contains 4,000 chemicals and can pollute up to 500 liters of water”.

This hunting hunt, which is part of a larger waste reduction plan in the French capital, comprises 10 measures.

Among them, the free distribution of 400,000 pocket ashtrays, installing new extinguishers above the pubs or supporting participatory cleaning campaigns.

The cafes and restaurants that have open terraces will also be urged to install ashtrays available to their customers, and the Municipal Police will continue to issue fines of 135 euros to the smokers caught in flagrant.
