More than 10 thousand inhabitants of the Krasnoyarsk Territory took part in the action “I choose clean air”

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the regional stage IV of the All -Russian Ecological Promotion “I choose clean air” was held. In Krasnoyarsk, the event started from the “festive kilometer” – the participants passed 1 km along one of the paths of the Gremya mane eco -park. The initiator and organizer of the event was the Ministry of Ecology of the Territory.

Krasnoyarsk residents came to the “festive kilometer” with families, someone drove a distance on a bicycle, and someone overcame it with running.

“My son and I came for a walk on our own and saw that such an action would take place. And the son suggested taking part. In kindergarten, they tell a lot about the importance of environmental habits, he even convinced us to sort garbage at home. At first there was some kind of resistance, but now everyone is used to the fact that plastic bottles need to be collected separately, the glass separately, ”said Krasnoyarka Olga.

The distance for the action was chosen a simple one, without descents and lifting, so there were very young children among the participants.

In Lesosibirsk, as part of the “I choose air” campaign, a triathlon was held: a bike racket, a race and Scandinavian walking, and active yard games for children, general charging and a flash mob were organized. Minusinsk held a Spartakiad and Sports Challenge “Running Saturday”, as well as the open championship in football “Young Stars”. Achinsk accepted the baton athletlett aircraft through the streets of the city and a bicycle launch. Norilsk also joined the action.

In total, on the first day of the action, more than 10 thousand people joined it. It will continue until September 7th. Until that time, everyone will be able to participate in it by sharing their sports achievements indicating the kilometers traveled in the VKontakte social network with the hashtag #Choosing City and their city, for example, #Krasnoyarsk. The winner will be the city whose inhabitants “find” more than kilometers. The results will be summed up in Moscow on International Clean Air Day for the Blue Sky – September 7.

“Our goal is to attract the attention of all, including the heads of large enterprises, to the fact that the residents of the region vote for clean air. Yes, we are an industrial land, we give a lot of resources for the country, but today there are technologies that can make any production environmentally friendly. I believe that each of us can and should contribute to the improvement of the ecology of the city where it lives. Refusal of the car, transfer of households to eco -leaving, separate collection of garbage – all this and much more can help our region become cleaner and better. I believe that this year, having united, we will take the first place in the project, ”said Vladimir Chasovitin, Minister of Ecology of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

Last year, Krasnoyarsk, according to the results of participation in the action, took second place among the cities participating in the federal project “Clean Air”, losing to Chelyabinsk. The participants passed 8 million kilometers, preventing more than 1,500 tons of emissions of polluting substances into the air from cars. The task this year is to become a winner that the 5th anniversary start of the All-Russian action takes place in Krasnoyarsk, taking the baton from Chelyabinsk.

It should be noted that the annual All -Russian action “I choose clean air” is the national driver of the federal project “Clean Air” of the National Project “Ecological Welfare”. It is aimed at popularizing a healthy lifestyle, reducing emissions from the use of personal vehicles and the formation of beneficial eco -sized.
