Charlotte from bread – sounds unusual, right? But believe me, this is a real find when you want something tasty and fast, but there was no flour in the house. Forget about the long mixing of the dough, because this recipe will take you only 15 minutes.

Ingredients:

  • Bread (white, slightly dried) – 300 grams
  • Apples (sweet and sour)-2-3 pieces (approximately 400 grams)
  • Eggs – 2 pieces
  • Sugar – 100 grams
  • Milk – 100 ml
  • Cinnamon (optional) – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Butter (to lubricate the shape)

Preparation:

1. Cut the bread with cubes about 1.5-2 cm. Peel the apples from the peel and the core, cut into slices or cubes. Beat eggs with sugar until light foam. Add milk and cinnamon, mix.

2. Dip each piece of bread into the egg-milk mixture. Lubricate the baking dish with butter. Put half the bread in shape, then evenly distribute apples, and on top – the remaining bread, and again fruit slices.

3. Bake in the oven preheated to 180 degrees for about 15-20 minutes (until golden brown). Time may change a little. Check the readiness with a toothpick.
