Former President Joe Biden has an aggressive form of prostate cancer – a politician office said on Sunday. According to the diagnosis, however, it is possible to effectively treat.

“Last week, President Joe Biden was examined in connection with the discovery of a prostate nodule after intensifying the symptoms in the urinary system. On Friday he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by the score of 9 on the Gleason scale with bone metastases,” he wrote in the statement.
As added, Although this is a “more aggressive form of the disease, cancer seems to be sensitive to hormones, which allows for effective treatment.”
The 10-degree Gleason scale measures the malice of prostate cancer, and the results above 8 are considered a sign of aggressive cancer and with a tendency to progress quickly.
The statement was published after Friday Biden underwent colonoscopy in connection with the detection of a tumor. The 82-year-old politician rarely appeared in public after leaving the office, last time in The View program on May 8.
