Two hours before the end of the vote, at Nicuşor Dan's campaign headquarters, several dozens of close relatives came, many USR members and civil society.

Compared to the evening of the first tour, when they waited for the results, today several USR parliamentarians and even former party members came to the campaign headquarters. Nicuşor Dan has not yet come to the headquarters, but it is expected to arrive after 7 pm.

Are balanced. “The match will be hard tonight,” he hears from a group of four supporters in front of the campaign headquarters on Regina Elisabeta Boulevard.

Inside, a few people from the campaign staff follow the evolution of the number of votes on the screen of a laptop. He compares the presence of today with the one in the first round, where a little over 9,500,000 Romanians came to vote. Today, until 7:00 pm, over 10,700,000 people have already reached the polls.

A few hundred meters from the campaign headquarters, at the entrance to the Cişmigiu Park, the technical staff of the candidate's team installs the scene from which he will talk, at 9 pm, after announcing the exit. Although they realize the possibility that the rain ruins their plans, they continue to mount their equipment.

The candidate is missing

If in the first round Nicuşor Dan stayed almost throughout the day at the campaign headquarters, today, he has not yet appeared among supporters. After voting in the morning, in Făgăraş, the independent candidate was in the voting section organized at the “Spiru Haret” College, to observe the voting process.

Candidates have the legal right to go to any voting section to ensure that the vote proceeds according to the law.

The voting section is near the student campuses Regie and Grozavești, where the students have been waiting for queues for almost 45 minutes to vote today.

After the visit to the polling station, Nicuşor Dan preferred a few minutes of rest, explained one of the supporters at the campaign headquarters. Dan is then waiting at the headquarters, from where he will go, before 9 pm, in Cişmigiu Park.
