Talks Ukraine-Russia. Donald Tusk: They broke negotiations


These were the first direct conversations of representatives of the Russian and Ukraine authorities in three years.
The Polish prime minister has already referred to the matter in social media. “Another conversation between our five (PL, DE, UA, UK, FR) and a connection with President Trump. There was also a joint statement of leaders of Poland, Germany, France and Great Britain after talking to President Zelnski and President Trump.

“The Russian side did not show good will, did not intend to negotiate, put the conditions absolutely not. We will continue working together. The main task is to maintain full unity, both European and American partners around the Ukrainian case, “said Donald Tusk.
“The Russian position is hardly constructive in any way. There are probably difficult days await us” – the prime minister added.
After talking to Donald Trump, the President of Ukraine announced that his country “was ready for quick steps for peace.”
Keir Starmer said Great Britain, France, Germany, Poland and Ukraine recognize that The position presented by the Russian side during Friday's peace conversations in Turkey is “unacceptable”.
The Russian leader Vladimir Putin did not arrive to Istanbul for talks with the Ukrainian side, despite Zelanski's calls. Commenting earlier, Istanbul negotiations, Zelanski decided that “none of the people representing Moscow there, in Russia decides anything”.
