Nicușor Dan, about marriage with his life partner. “I was proposed to do this now, in the campaign”
The independent candidate for the presidential elections, Nicușor Dan, announced that he is going to marry his life partner, Mirabela Grădinaru, but that he wants to do so “in a moment of peace”.

Nicușor Dan, publicly confirmed that he was going to marry his life partner, Mirabela Grădinaru. The two form a couple of over 20 years and have two children together, but have not yet made the step of formalizing the relationship through marriage.
During the election campaign for the presidential elections, the personal life of the mayor of the Capital has become an intense topic of discussions in the public space, many asking questions about his relationship with his life partner or about whether or not he has baptized his two children.
In this context, in a debate from which his counter -candidate, George Simion, was missing, Nicuşor Dan was asked about his personal projects.
Nicușor Dan, said he would marry his partner, Mirabela Grădinaru, “in a moment of peace”, because “it is a matter of family” and revealed that he proposed to do so in the election campaign, but refused.
“It will happen. I proposed to do this now quickly, in the campaign. I said no. It is a matter of family. It will happen in a moment of peace for the family.”said Nicuşor Dan on Romania TV.
Nicușor Dan did not offer a precise date for marriage, but stressed that this is not an image decision and will not be used for electoral purposes. It is a gesture dedicated to his family, which, despite his political commitments, continues to play an essential role in his life.
Asked if he would take into account the organization of the wedding at the Cotroceni Palace, in the event of a victory in elections, Nicușor Dan replied sharply: “The wedding will be in the family”.
Although the personal life of the politician was generally discreet, he offered other details in previous interventions, mentioning that he and Mirabela Grădinaru are Christian-Orthodox and that both children are baptized.
Present at the debate, Mirabela Grădinaru, Nicuşor Dan's life partner, spoke about the impact of the election campaign for personal presidency, especially on the children, who for this reason spend less time with their father.
The mother of two children, Mirabela spoke honestly about the impact that the election campaign has on their family. He says that the absence of Nicușor Dan from Home is felt, especially by the little ones, but also that he does everything possible to remain present and involved, even in the full electoral period.
