The Trump administration said on Tuesday that eight federal agents will cancel another $ 450 million in subsidies granted to Harvard University, in addition to the $ 2.2 billion federal financing, last week, Reuters reports.
The decision is motivated on the basis of an analysis by a working group on anti -Semitism that accused the Harvard University of preventing “omnipresent racial discrimination and anti -Semitic harassment affecting its campus.”
“There is a major problem in the Harvard campus, and in prioritizing the quietness to the detriment of responsibility, the institutional leaders have lost the school right to the support of the taxpayers,” the working group said in a common statement.
Harvard did not offer a public reaction regarding the Decision of the Trump Administration.
In April, when the conflict broke out, Harvard, the oldest university in the US, rejected the requests of the Trump administration, which accuses her of allowing anti -Semitism to bloom and threatens to cut financing.
The university sued the administration for the decision to interrupt the non -reimbursable financing after refusing to give in front of what the president of the University declared to be illegal applications “to control who we employ and what we teach.”
These applications have included requests for the private university to modify their employment and admission practices to ensure an ideological balance balance and to conclude certain academic programs.
Last week, the US Education Department informed Harvard that it freezes billions of dollars in future research grants and other aids until the oldest and richest university in the country will give up the administration's requests.
