Presidential Elections 2025. Correct Vote Correct and Funky Citizens Continue Registrations for Observers at Second Tour

The correct vote coalition and the Funky Citizens organization continue the registrations for observers at the second round of the presidential elections until Tuesday, May 13, respectively, on Wednesday, May 14, under certain conditions.

The observer is a citizen with a volunteer voting rights who is not part of any political party. Its role is to follow the correctness of the electoral process in the polling stations, without intervening directly in carrying out the electoral operations, it is shown in a statement of Expert Forum, quoted by Agerpres.

People who want to register as an observer must not be actively involved in the election campaign of a party or candidate in these elections.

The activity of observer is also incompatible with that of delegate from a political party, computer operator or member of an electoral office.

How can you sign up for

The registration as an observer is made exclusively online, through the observer.votcorect.ro platform. Those interested will complete a form in which they will provide the necessary data.

According to the quoted source, the activity is not remunerated, but it is based on volunteering.

“But we make sure that our observers are prepared and informed to cope with the challenges of voting days. We offer training and materials needed to successfully fulfill all the tasks (such as a manual of the observer) and electoral assistance, including through a call center that will work throughout the election days. Each observer will complete the votes, And alerts related to possible irregularities ”, the statement said.

At the first round, the correct voting organizations accredited over 600 observers in the country and abroad, who transmitted through the Votes Monitor application from over 1,000 polling stations.

“On the day of the elections we have submitted numerous notifications to the electoral offices and to the institutions. After the day of voting, the data collected allow us to draw conclusions on how the elections were organized and to publish observation reports, which also include recommendations that contribute to the improvement of future electoral processes,” said Expert Forum.

The correct vote coalition consists of the Forum Expert, Civic Resources, Civic Center, the Center for the Study of Democracy, the Civic Rădăuți, the Electoral Observatory, the Federation of Student Associations of Law in Romania and Code for Romania, which has developed the application for monitor votes.

Funky Citizens has expanded the registration period

The NGO Funky Citizens also announced that it has extended the registration for the second round of the presidential elections, hoping that the number of those want to watch over the electoral process will increase in the coming days.
