The artist Tudor Chirilă said on Monday, in a Facebook post, that he supports Nicușor Dan in the second round of the presidential elections and that, in the case of a Simion-Antonescu or Simion-Ponta final, he would not have been presented. The actor and the musician state that the current electoral competition is a confrontation between an “honest, without political party in the back” and an “extremist with legionary, fascist, Russophile” sympathies “, referring to the gold leader, George Simion.
“I am glad that there are two million Romanians who thought about me and sent Nicușor Dan in the second round. Honestly, with a final Simion-Antonescu or Simion-Ponta I would not have presented myself. It would have been for the first time. Or I would have canceled the bulletin.
The artist states that the PSD “will not disappear” and that the pro-European direction of the party has blurred after the resignation of Marcel Ciolacu as the prime minister: “In the PSD there is a current as sovereignist, of the Baron of type Paul Stanescu or Olguța Vasilescu, prepared to govern with gold”.
He argues that “PSD is rather a pro-Russian party” and that “not European values are important to them (for social-democrats, no), but the money from the PNR and the comets”.
Tudor Chirilă criticizes and the appointment of Cătălin Predoiu as an interim prime minister, whom he considers “an exponent of the destruction of justice”.
In the artist's opinion, the PNL passes “easily” from “Maga Antonescu to Nicușor Dan” and tries to electoral a support that he has not demonstrated in practice.

The well -known musician also states that Nicușor Dan is “far from perfect”, but that it represents a model of honesty, decency and professional competence, having a solid formation in mathematics and an experience of administration in Bucharest.
In contrast, he accuses Simion of “aggressive lives”, “neighborhood behavior” and an election campaign “based on manipulation”.
“The bonus behavior of the neighborhood, the aggressive lives, the houses promised at 35,000 euros that have never existed, the use of the personal data of the Romanians-all are part of the same Political Marketing.
As for George Simion, Chirilă also states that the gold leader “is not an antisystem fighter” and that the party he runs “has repeatedly voted with PSD, including to maintain special pensions”.
“Simion will cohabit perfectly with PSD and PNL. Will not get rid of them. The gold voters voted PSD and PNL. Otherwise how to explain the very small gold score in the local elections?”, Writes the artist.
At the end of the post, he urges a high presence in the second round and says that Romania needs “a president who knows more than us, from which to learn”.
“I really want to vote for a president who knows more than me. I find it cool to tell our children: do you see how much mathematics has learned this man to become president?”
