Elections 2025. Nicușor Dan and George Simion, face to face on Thursday in the first presidential debate

The two candidates ranked in the first two places in the first round of the presidential elections, Nicușor Dan and George Simion, participate on Thursday, May 8, at the first debate in the Presidential Finals.

The independent candidate Nicușor Dan and the Gold candidate George Simion participates on Thursday, May 8, from 20.00 in the first television electoral debate, at Euronews.

Nicușor Dan has announced that the first debate will take place today and several confrontations will be organized next week between the two candidates. At this evening debate, George Simion also confirmed.

Another confrontation is organized on May 15, from 19.30, by TVR, at the Cotroceni Palace. George Simion, however, accuses that at that time his program is already busy and will be in Brussels.

A poll made public by the independent candidate Nicușor Dan shows how the direction of voting in the second round of presidential elections changes.

Of the voters of Crin Antonesacu, 57.3% indicated that Nicușor Dan will vote, and 18.8% George Simion.

Of Victor Ponta's voters, 38.6% go to Nicușor Dan, 21.6% go to George Simion.

Of the voters of Elena Lasconi, 58.6% said that Nicușor Dan votes, 13.8 indicated George Simion.
