Stelists “lit” Ghencea “what heard this evening at the stadium, 39 years away from Sevilla '86

The ultras of the South Steaua Peluza celebrated the 39th anniversary since the conquest of the European Champions Cup, in 1986. The first “May 7” without the legend Helmut Duckadam.
On May 7, 1986, the Stelists won the European Champions Cup, after the Seville final, when they defeated Barcelona 2-0 at the break. If the former great players of the “military” celebrated the anniversary in Forban, it was not quiet in Ghencea either.

It was the first anniversary without Helmut Duckadam, “the hero of Seville”, who died on December 2, 2024.
Present at Forban, former goalscorer Victor Pițurcă said for GSP.ro: “That's how I heard, that the commander had this initiative. And I find it extraordinary, because there, in Forban, everything started.
That altitude cantonment made us better, it propelled us to the unique performance we made in Romanian football. It is really exciting for many of us to come back where we have gathered so many memories. “
