A definite declaration at the meeting with Trump. “We are not for sale”

– As you know, there are places in the real estate industry that are never for sale. We are sitting in one right now. Buckingham Palace, which you visited, is also one of them. And after (my) meeting with the owners of Canada during the campaigns of the last few months, Canada is not for sale – said Carney, answering the question about the possible joining of his country to the USA.
“There will never be for sale, but the chance lies in partnership and what we can build together,” he added.
Earlier, Trump said that he did not intend to discuss this issue during Wednesday's conversation, but again mentioned the benefits that the Canadians would receive from such a solution.
– I think that Canada citizens would have great benefits, for example, lower taxes, a free army, which, to be honest, we give you anyway, because we protect Canada – said Trump. He later added, referring to Carney's attention, that Canada is not for sale: “Time will show it.”
