Grzegorz Braun, MEP and presidential candidate (confederation of the Polish Crown), was again in the center of controversy. The Minister of Justice and Prosecutor General Adam Bodnar announced on Monday in an interview with TOK FM that A request to repeal the MEP immunity in connection with events in the hospital in Oleśnica should be sent to the European Parliament within 10-12 days.
The incident involving Grzegorz Braun took place in mid -April, when the politician tried to make the so -called a civic detention of a doctor in the hospital in Oleśnica. The District Prosecutor's Office in Oleśnica is currently investigating the case depriving her of freedom and regarding criminal threats at her address.

The minister referred to the regulation in the regulations of the European Parliament, which says that immunity does not protect a deputy caught in the act. He noticed, however, that the reaction of the services during such an event must be thought out.
The activities of the MEP in the hospital are not the only allegations of politics. Adam Bodnar reminded that On Tuesday, the European Parliament is to decide on the revocation of Braun's immunity in connection with the controversial incident of December 2023. The politician was then to extinguish Chanka's candles during the ceremony in the Sejm. The prosecutor's office wants to accuse him of committing seven crimes, including those related to statements during sex debate and disruption of celebrations commemorating the victims of the Holocaust.
