The turn of April and May, apart from the opportunity to relax, brought a series of important data from the economy. From the national yard, the most important information was the so -called Quick inflation reading for April, which continues the inheritance series. As expected by economists, April brought a noticeable decrease in CPI inflation, ending the period of its stabilization near 5%. The decisive role was played by the expiry of the low base effect after last year's raising VAT to food.

The April data from the American labor market seemed to seem better than the expectations of economists. But solid searches down for February and March and low wage dynamics suppressed optimism. The release of workforce from the federal sector is still very reluctant.

The April edition of currency forecasts assumes that in the foreseeable future of the euro will no longer be cheaper than today. The market analysts have changed their views in relation to the dollar, which is to cost less than PLN 4 permanently.

The first quarter of 2025 brought acceleration of economic growth in the euro area – according to the rapid respect of Eurostat. France and Germany – that is, two largest euro economies – managed to avoid the so -called technical recession.

The end of April brought further price reductions at distributors. Thanks to this, before this year's picnic we will be able to refuel the cheapest in four years. At the same time, “cheaper” still does not mean “cheap”.
