The building of the former “electric factory” buried in Moscow wanted to close even before the New Year. The prosecutor’s office filed a lawsuit against the suspension of activities in October, but he is still in court by consideration.
Problems with wiring, orphanage, alarm, fire extinguishers and ventilation at the facility have been found since 2019. Plus, as the fire showed on February 8, some evacuation exits are closed.
The company is classified as a high category of risk and is an object with a massive stay of people. And the responsible officials and director of Elektombinat LLC have been repeatedly brought to administrative responsibility, fines, as well as to suspend activities for 90 days. All for the same violations of fire safety requirements.
On February 8, 5 people were hospitalized at the “Electric Plant” during a fire. At least 120 visitors left the building on their own, 80 people saved firefighters.
