The Industry Development Agency, Polimex Mostostal and the “Silesia” Financial Society have concluded an agreement on the lease of Rafako estate, ARP said in a press release.
Earlier, investors obtained the consent of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection for concentration, consisting in the creation of a joint entrepreneur.
As reported, the ARP sold its two partners 2/3 of the ARP Counseling company (1/3 of the Silesia and TF Silesia shares). Then this company, after increasing the capital by PLN 27 million and the change of name to RFK, after obtaining consent to concentration for lease will be taken over by key rafako assets.
“RFK activities in the rail and arms sectors will not only secure jobs, but also activate regional suppliers and service providers, contributing to strengthening the competitiveness of the entire Silesian industry” – it was written in the communiqué.
The management of Rafako filed for bankruptcy in September 2024. The Group is the general contractor for energy blocks and a leading boiler manufacturer in Europe. It also provides services in the field of industrial construction.
Prime Minister Donald Tusk two weeks ago announced that although the continuation of Rafako's current activity is impossible, nothing stands in the way where the boilers were once made, now launch arms production.
On Tuesday, the government decided to transfer over PLN 700 million to the Industrial Development Agency, the funds will be used, among others to help Rafako and Rafamet. (PAP Biznes)
