One of the most important changes contained in the draft amendment is abolition of 10h principle introduced in 2016 and the introduction of 500 m as a minimum distance of windmills from the buildings (currently this minimum distance from residential facilities is 700 m). It is not known what exactly amendments to the project will be dealt with by the Council of Ministers.
The ministers will also listen to the information of the heads of MS and the Ministry of Interior and Administration regarding proposals to tighten penalties for causing a fire. These proposals are the result of a fire of dry grass and reeds, which broke out on April 20 at the interface between the Augustów and Moniec poviats. He covered an area of approx. 450 ha in the Biebrza National Park. For several days, nearly half a thousand firefighters and other services, also supported by helicopters of state forests and police, fought for a few days.

On April 22, the spokesman of the Ministry of Interior and Administration Jacek Dobrzyński said that the ministry of internal affairs and administration and justice were obliged to develop a radical exacerbation of penalties for causing a fire (fine, arrest) under the Code of Offenses and the Code of Procedure in cases of offenses.

Another important document that the government will deal with will be the report on the implementation of “the medium-term budget and structural plan for 2025-2028”. Such a document must be published by the end of April. The budget and structural plan published last year presents the path of lowering public finance deficit below 3 percent. GDP in 2028, which in turn forces Poland an EU procedure of excessive deficit.
