Several unexploded ammunition elements were discovered on Sunday in a forest in the area of Boureni, Moţca commune, Iaşi county. According to the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (ISU) Iaşi, the pyrotechnic team from the 2 Fire Detachment Iasi intervened following a call to 112, made by amateur metal detectors, reports News.ro.
“Following a call by Snuau 112 in the integrated I-SMURD-Saj Iasi dispatcher, coming from some amateur metal detectors, who discovered various ammunition elements unexploded in a forest on the radius of Boureni, Motca commune, at the place of the request, the Pirotehnică team, the Deta, was in the place. Iasi.
The pyrotechnists have identified and raised from the place 12 elements of ammunition remaining unexploded.
After completing the mission, the pyrotechnists, together with the detectors, distributed leaflets and informed the citizens in the area about the risks associated with the unexploded ammunition and the measures to be taken in such situations.
ISU Iaşi reminds that, in case of discovery of ammunition elements, they should not be reached, and the authorities must be alerted by appeal to 112.
