George Simion, Victor Ponta, Elena Lasconi, Crin Antonescu and Nicușor Dan
The latest Atlasintel survey conducted for Hotnews and published on Thursday shows an increase in an important segment of the electorate. A candidate grew up in the diaspora's ranks, where it was the first, regardless of the counter-candidate in the second round.
- The Atlasintel survey was conducted between April 17 and 22, 2025 on a sample of 3,701 respondents, by the random digital recruitment method (Atlas RDR) and has an error margin of ± 2 pp, to a degree of 95%.
- “Atlasintel samples are representative on an electoral concept (Likely Voters). This means that they have as targets those voters who actually vote and who intend to vote and in the future elections. In just nine days, the Gold candidate for presidential elections, George Simion, grew up in polls both in the diaspora options for the first May 4 and for the second round.
Compared to the previous Atlasintel survey from April 10-13, 2025, Simion would now take in the first round, in the diaspora, 56.2% of the votes, ie almost two percent.
It is followed by Nicușor Dan, with 14.2%(decreasing from 20.7%), Lavinia Șandru (Pusl) – 4.4%, Elena Lasconi – 4.2%(from 6.1%). Crin Antonescu would take only 3.9% of the votes. Victor Ponta who had nine days ago – 6.3% of the votes, now has under 1%.
Simion takes over 60% of diaspora votes
Simion's growth is even greater in a two round, regardless of his counter-candidate. In a confrontation with Crin Antonescu, the golden candidate reached 67% of the votes, with almost 12% more than nine days ago. Antonescu has 17.5%.
