This year we are celebrating the 1000th anniversary of Bolesław the Brave's coronation to the King of Poland and the 500th anniversary of the Prussian tribute. The Warsaw celebrations, originally planned for Saturday, will take place on Sunday. The change is caused by the introduction of national mourning on Saturday in connection with the funeral of Pope Francis.

The Sunday celebration will be inaugurated by the installation on the Vistula with eight -meter heads of 28 crowned kings of Poland, inspired by the “post of kings and Polish princes” by Jan Matejko.
At 14 The historical and educational picnic of the Millennium will take place on Tadeusz Kahl and the Kościuszko coast. Three zones will be waiting for Warsaw residents: medieval, present and future. At 14.30, a flight of F-16 aircraft prepared by the Polish Armed Forces is planned.
A military equipment exhibition will be available during the picnic. Soldiers present on site will talk about, among others About equipment at the army's disposal, e.g. the American M1A1 Abrams tank, German Leopard 2PL and K2 GF – the version of the South Korean basic K2 Black Panther basic tank adapted to the requirements of the Polish Army.
At 18.30 the historical parade will begin. It will pass the Świętokrzyskie Bridge to the Błonia of the National Stadium. “A symbolic journey for 1000 years of Polish history. The procession will be conducted by the 1st Representative Company of the Polish Army and the Polish Army Orchestra. A ship with the Warsaw Mermaid will flow in front of the Vistula parade – an artistic symbol connecting the era. Along the left bank, the images of 44 rulers of Poland will be illuminated by the organizers.
The highlight of the program will be the final concert in the Błonia PGE Narodowy. At 20 Representatives of the Polish music scene representing various genres and generations will performincl. Kayah, Doda, Organek, Oskar Cyms, King, Bovska, Smolasty, VIX.N, Margaret, Lanberry, Bryska, Mery Spolsky, Stanisław Soyka and many others. The organizer of the concert is Polish Television, which will conduct live broadcast.

In addition, the artistic staging of “Living Gniezno doors” with the participation of 80 actors and the Art Color Ballet band will be presented at the Błonia Narodowy. The Gniezno doors belong to the most interesting monuments of the European Hungry Romanesque art. Majestic, showing the life of the patronage of Poland and Europe. A presentation of Polish history was also planned using an innovative form of image projection – on water screens – which creates a hologram suspended in space.
The Sunday celebration will end with the largest 1000 drones show in the history of Poland, which will illuminate the sky on the Vistula. “Full of symbolism, emotions and light, which will become an unforgettable point of this special day,” announced the Chancellery of the Prime Minister.
The program of celebrating the Millennium of the Polish Crown was prepared by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the Prime Minister, the Council of Ministers, took them on the honorary patronage. Nearly 150 entities are involved in the organization of the event.
