A 23 -year -old citizen of Romania was detained by Russia's Federal Security Federal Service (FSB) being accused of spying actions in favor of Ukraine. According to a statement from the Moscow institution, he would have sent information on the placement of some air defense installations located in the city of Soci, the Krasnodar region, Russia.
The man has already testified, reports the RIA Novosti press agency, and said he saw an air defense unit on the road to Soci to Adler. He marked the location on a map and sent it to a supervisor of Ukrainian intelligence services, named Volodimir, writes the quoted source.

“The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation of Soci, the Krasnodar region, detained a Romanian citizen, born in 2002, who was involved in information activities in favor of the special services of Ukraine. It was established that, in the summer of 2024, at the indications of the Ukrainian intelligence services, he collected and transmitted information on some aircraft. The special services of Ukraine promised the Romanian citizen, at his request, that he will help him to leave Russia safely and join the formation of AFU volunteers to participate in hostilities against our country, ”Russia's Federal Security Federal Service stated.
The document also specifies that a criminal case was opened against the detained person for committing the crime provided for in Article 276 of the Russia Criminal Code, “espionage”.
It risks up to 20 prison.
