Currently, Ukraine also uses satellite data of American sources, such as the National George Intelligence Agency and Maxar Technologies. However, after suspension of data exchange by the US in March 2025, Ukraine was aware of the need to obtain intelligence data from various sources.
The integration of Japanese technology with the Ukrainian intelligence system is to last from two to three months. After completing the trial, Ukraine will be able to track the movements of Russian troops, equipment concentration and supply route in real time. Thanks to SAR technology, it will be possible to precisely verify the goals, which will increase the accuracy of the attacks and help minimize side damage.
The expert of the Eastern Studies Center, Robert Piąszel, in an interview with PAP emphasized that Japan, like other countries from the Indo-Pacific region, provides Ukraine with help, appreciating the threat from Russia. The bee points out that such support is necessary and the potential of strategic partnership in security issues should be used.
In addition to Japan, Ukraine also uses intelligence data also from other suppliers, including the Iceeye system, the cooperation of Finland and the German group Rheinmetall, as well as the German constellations SAR-LUPE and Sarah and the Italian Cosmo-Skymed. The bee noticed how important it is to maintain American help in this field, at the same time emphasizing that the extension of access to various sources of intelligence, including satellite data, is currently absolutely crucial.
