“Putin only shows their desire to kill”: at least 2 people died and over 50 were injured, following an attack on Kiev

Kiev was hit on Wednesday evening, April 23, by a Russian missile attack. At least two people died and 54 were injured, including six children, according to a provisional balance announced by the Ukrainian authorities.

The Presidency of Kyiv accused Russian leader Vladimir Putin, of pursuing “Just the desire to kill,” transmits AFP, quoted by News.ro.

“Kiev is attacked by enemy missiles”, The military authorities of the Ukrainian capital announced on the official Telegram channel, urging the population to shelter. According to Mayor Vitali Klitschko, 38 of the wounded were admitted to hospitals, and the attacks affected at least two neighborhoods in the city.

In parallel, the city of Kharkov was also the target of repeated rocket attacks, said Mayor Igor Terejov, without giving details about possible victims.

“Russia attacks Kiev, Kharkov and other cities with rockets and drones. Putin only shows their desire to kill,” He transmitted the head of the Presidential Administration in Kiev, Andrii Iermak, in a message posted on Telegram. He demanded the cessation of fire and stop the attacks on civilians.

Meanwhile, in Washington, Donald Trump has launched an attack on Ukrainian leader Volodimir Zelenski, who accused of making “incendiary” statements about Crimea, suggesting that they had prevented a potential peace agreement with Moscow. “The incendiary statements like Zelenski's are the ones that make this war solving so difficult,”, Trump said in a post on his Social Truth network, adding that I am very close to an understanding.
