Crin Antonescu, the candidate of the presidential coalition, said that George Simion went to the United States and denigrated Romania on taxpayers' money, which is “embarrassing and repulsive”. Regarding the decision of the Ploiești Court of Appeal regarding the second round of the presidential elections, Antonescu limited to say that he is “surprising”.

“It is surprising. I knew as a profane in legal matters that the RCC decisions are insane, but I am not the one who has to pronounce myself. I understood that it is already an appeal to the ICCJ. It is a matter that is treated and only in justice,” said Crin Antonescu, to Antena 3.

Invited to comment on the discussions about the lobby contract for gold and Simion in the US, Crin Antonescu referred more to the interviews that the gold leader gave in the US to Trump's USA, and to the influencer Jack Posobiek.

“What George Simion did in his small American tournament is embarrassing and repulsive (…) You can't go to the US on public money and denigrate your country,” said Antonescu.

The candidate of the coalition imputed the gold leader that he went to the US and tried to deceive those who met that “in Romania there is no democracy, it is tyranny.”

Not even serious sovereigns can have in Romania. We have some impostors, some slums that immediately give their face to face (…) I don't think it met with someone serious in the US, but I saw that his propaganda presented the suspension of visas as a punishment for canceling the elections, “commented Crin Antonescu.
