Around 5.40 o'clock on Saturday in Płońsk (Masovian Voivodeship) policemen received a report about a road incident with the participation of a marked police car from Volkswagen, which hit the fence of one of the properties at Św. John Paul II.

The press officer indicated that “at the time of the arrival of another police patrol in the vehicle there was one officer from our unit, 32-year-old.” She added that the policeman was sitting at the back of the vehicle, at the passenger's place. The conducted sobriety test “showed about 2 per mille of alcohol in his body,” she explained.

She added that the second officer, the 34-year-old who served in the same patrol, was detained at one of the streets of Płońska. “He was also intoxicated” – he had about 0.7 per mil of alcohol in his body.

Both officers have been detained and activities under the supervision of the prosecutor are currently underway. “We determine the circumstances of the incident and which of the officers drove a service vehicle,” said Dężek -Zmysłowska. (PAP)
