It is “a banal, typical tactic of Russia,” he emphasized, adding that in 2023 Russia announced the “Christmas Eve truce”, and then violated him.
Currently, Russian troops “continue some assault actions” – he noted.

The advantage of Easter truce over Christmas
Earlier on Saturday, Putin announced that at 18.00 (17.00 Polish time) in the war with Ukraine, an Easter truce will come into force. According to him, the suspension of the fighting is to last until midnight (23.00 in Poland) from Sunday to Monday.
The Russian Ministry of Defense has announced that the order of a truce was transferred to all commanders of branches fighting Ukraine, and the Russian troops will follow it if the Ukrainian side acts the same.
The President of Ukraine Wołodymyr Zelanski said that Russian drones over Ukraine testify to the real attitude of Putin to Easter and human life. The head of Ukrainian diplomacy Andriy Sybiha, in turn, assessed that “his (Putin) words cannot be trusted” and Ukraine will “look at deeds”.
