Donald Trump, about the possible US withdrawal from negotiations for peace: “No one pulls me”

In his first statement after the announcement of his Secretary of State, Donald Trump was evasive about the possible withdrawal from negotiations to cease the war in Ukraine. “No one pulls me on the rope,” he said about Russia's intentions regarding the conclusion of a peace agreement.

Known for his firm positions and sometimes extremely harsh statements, US President Donald Trump was unexpectedly evasive when questioned about a potential US withdrawal from the termination of the Ukraine war, announced by Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

Instead, Donald Trump stressed on Friday that the US still wants this war to end as soon as possible and suggested that Moscow's true intentions will become very obvious, saying that, although not thinking about withdrawal from dialogue, he wants a fastest solution.

“There is no specific term, but we want things to move quickly”, Trump said, adding that progress depends only on the good faith of both parties involved and that it will not continue the mediation efforts unless a mutual compromise.

“If, for some reason, any of the parties will make it difficult for the process, we will simply tell them that they are insane, terrible people and then, we will simply overcome the moment. But let's hope that it will not be necessary. And Marco is right to say that we want to end. This, so we will see. said the US president, quoted by Antena 3.

Donald Trump highlighted the severity of the situation, but when he was directly asked if he would abandon the negotiations for peace, he avoided responding directly, expressing the desire to conclude the war.

“Well, I don't want to ask the problem like that, but we want to end (war – no). We want to end, yes”, said the leader from the White House.

Also, referring to the accusations of Russia's tactics to delay the signing of a peace agreement, he said that “no one can pull him on the rope”, because his businessman and politician experience learned to recognize the situations in which someone tries to manipulate him.

“” I hope he doesn't pull the time. I'll tell you soon if he does, but I hope he doesn't. He has a big force there, a great force. It would never happen if I was president. It's a war and for four years he didn't burs On both sides. concluded Donald Trump.
