After Wednesday's publications, among others In the Polish Press Agency on the controversy related to the organization of the gala in the city hall of the Toruń sports infrastructure, which administers the hall, decided to terminate the contract. “I confirm. By decision of the Management Board, the contract for this event was terminated in connection with the fact that the organizer did not complete all the terms of the contract,” TIS board member Dariusz Mądrzejewski told PAP on Wednesday evening.

On Friday, the event organizers informed in social media that they were transferring the event to Radom.

“For reasons beyond our control, the gala is moved to Radom – specifically to the Radom Sports Center! This is where we will create a story together and remind you what the slogan means: Make Dydy Great Again!” – Written on the Prime Show MMA profile.

PAP reporter from Monday received many signals – mainly from parents of young children – in the field of controversy related to the organization of the Freak Fightt Gala in the city facility. The event was to take place in May, and on the participants' leaves announced a few days ago there were people whose activities in public space – as concerned about the city's inhabitants pointed out – is characterized by vulgarity, hate speech, calling for violence or discrimination, including in connection with the religion.

“It's pathology and the worst patterns,” one of the lecturers of the Nicolaus Copernicus University told PAP. She indicated that she would not like her child, even by accident, to come across maturation with something like that.

Mr. Janusz (Personnel to the editorial office – PAP) in an interview with PAP admitted that he saw fragments of conferences on the internet announcing such galas. “After all, there is violence, vulgarisms fall asleep like a sleeve, everyone offends and challenges everyone. One of the participants, because it cannot be said that athletes, he calls for the persecution of Jews. What are we agreeing to?” – he said.

Among the people who were to fight at this gala were people who spent many years in prison, as well as the so -called patostreamers. On Wednesday, PAP turned to the authorities of Toruń sports infrastructure with questions regarding the organization of the gala in the city facility.

“We are analyzing the case and we will certainly make the optimal decision as possible,” Adam Banaszak, president of Tis Toruń, told PAP before noon. He did not answer the questions about when the contract was signed to organize a gala in the municipal facility, which the amount of the Hall renting entity pays, as well as what the Company threatens the consequences in connection with the possible termination of the contract.

The press spokesman of the Toruń City Hall Marcin Centkowski in response to PAP's questions indicated that “Toruń Infrastructure Sportowa sp. OO pursues an independent marketing policy covering, among others, the rental of Arena Toruń for cultural, sports or other events, whose implementation is in line with its statutory goals.”

“In the case of an event related to the organization of MMA competitions in May this year and doubts related to the content published in public space by some participants invited to participate by an external organizer, I would like to explain that there is no place and there will be no place in Toruń for hate speech, discrimination or violence (including calling to it) motivated by any prejudice” – emphasized Centkowski.

“For me it is not a sport, it is pathology, so I do not even want to comment on it,” Maciej Wiśniewski told PAP by many involved in sports activities in the city, including b. President of the Premier League Basketball Club.

A longtime trainer at the Axel Municipal Figure Skating Club, two-time Olympic Sylwia Nowak-Trębacka told PAP that “from the perspective of competitive sport coach, which is figure skating, looks at MMA with great respect, but also with some reserve.”

She added that she believed that MMA controversy does not result from sport itself, but from how it is shown and who appears in it. “When I watch a duel of two trained players from the highest league, I see a strategy, intelligence and hard work – not only brutality, but if the fight is promoted by celebrities and wrapped in a scandal, it is hardly surprising that people see in this circus, not sport” – pointed out an experienced skater and trainer.

Anna Kulczyńska, a titled player and coach Karate from Toruń, told PAP that for these galas they are so vulgar that they should not be combined with sport at all. “If it is to be a workort, let it be in Patomiejsce, not beautiful sports facilities that can be as part of such events – I would be afraid of it – devastated” – she emphasized. The trainer raising youth said that she could not promote the anti -values, which – in her opinion “unfortunately” – follow huge money. From Wednesdays PAP tried to contact the organizers of the gala. However, the agency's questions remained unanswered.
