The Council of Ministers adopted the MKIŚ project that moves the deadline for submitting tariff applications by energy companies of April 30 to July 31, 2025 – the climate resort said on the website. The starting date of the electricity prices changed in the tariffs of July 1 to October 1, 2025 is to be postponed.

According to MKIŚ, postponement of the date of entry into force of the recalled tariffs for electricity will translate into an improvement in the situation of energy recipients in the fourth quarter of 2025.
“The Council of Ministers adopted a bill prepared by the Minister of the Climate and the Environment moving the deadline for submitting a change of tariff applications by energy companies – of April 30, 2025 to July 31, 2025. Thanks to this regulation, the change of tariffs will allow for a better taking into account the current market conditions in tariff calculations and will contribute to a greater approximation Maximum, which is valid until the end of September ” – wrote on the Ministry Resort.
At the same time, the new regulations provide for postponement of the starting date in the changed electricity price tariffs of July 1, 2025 to October 1, 2025.
“Prices on the wholesale market are systematically decreasing. We move the entry into force of new tariffs, so that the drop in prices on the wholesale market also translate into their amount,” said Paulina Hennig -Kloska, quoted in the minister of the climate and environment.
By the end of September 2025, households have guaranteed protection in the form of a maximum price of PLN 500/MWh.
The currently applicable provisions on the protection of electricity consumers in households assume the obligation to submit by 30 April 2025 by electricity sellers a request for a change in tariffs in force until December 31, 2025.
“For many months, however, we have been observing a downward trend on the electricity market, and the current conditions for shaping prices on wholesale markets indicate a greater reduction in prices in tariffs for households. Therefore, the Ministry of Climate and Environment proposes to postpone the deadline for submitting applications by three months” – explained. (PAP Biznes)
