On Wednesday, April 16, Pope Francis met with nearly 70 people from Gemelli Polyclinica, the Catholic University and the Health and Hygiene Directorate of the Vatican State. The meeting lasted about 20 minutes. The Press Office of the Holy See informs that this is his first official audience since leaving the hospital in the second half of March – the Pope spent 38 days at the Gemella Clinic.

The Holy Father thanked for the help of medical staff and reported that he was praying for them. He also asked for prayer for him. “Thank you for your service in the hospital, very good, keep it up!” – he said.
